There have been a few things I've been meaning to write about but haven't had the time yet. I took the computer club students from GHS down to Lime Cay, my friend Brandon finally made it down to see me, and I completeted my Peace Corps service. I travelled back to the USA this Thursday.

My flight was supposed to be Wednesday but because of Ernesto it was cancelled so I got another one Thursday. It kind of worked out because I was able to see a few people I didn't get to see and say goodbye to before. Also I made a little money doing some computer work at a friend's office in New Kingston.

My flight out of Kingston was 6:45AM so I left my house around 4:30. Left my keys on the table, did my dishes for the last time, locked the gate and watched the house go by as the taxi drove off. Last drive down Molynes Rd., through New Kingston and out to the airport. Now, when I say last I mean last for a time. I definitely plan on coming back to Jamaica -- maybe to live for a time, but surely to visit.

The flight was delayed til around 7:45 so I had some time to spend more money in the airport. Flew into Miami, got through customs without incident and then found my next flight to Jacksonville. I met Anne there and we drove down to a nice restaurant, Caps on The Water, between Ponte De Vedra Beach and Vilano Beach. Had some nice seafood, tried Calamari for the first time which was quite good, then had so many choices of beer that I didn't know what to do! Guess I can give Red Stripe a little bit of a break but not for long. Anyhow, I was fading fast so we went back to Anne's and turned in.

So my main plan is to stay here about a week and then to take the Greyhound over to New Orleans and visit another RPCV John. I'll stay there about a week then fly back to WA. So that's the plan for now. When I have more time I'll get back to the other things I've been remiss to write about.
